What will the county be like in 25 years? Will we be leaving a better place for future generations? Will traffic be worse? Will any open space or farmland be left? In 2005 the Montgomery County Commissioners adopted a new county comprehensive plan that establishes the overall vision for the county. The plan will guide various planning decisions to be made by government and private organizations through 2025. It will be updated periodically to reflect changing conditions that may present new constraints or opportunities. The plan is comprised of eight separate plans that focus on major issues in the county. The plans, as well as a summary of each, are provided below.
