The project area runs along Matsonford Road, between Front Street in West Conshohocken and the on-ramps onto the Blue Route (I-476).  Matsonford Road will be widened to provide a second lane for traffic traveling westbound on Matsonford Road.  This additional lane will allow drivers in the left lane to choose between either getting onto the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) or taking Matsonford Road.  The current configuration forces drivers in the left lane onto the expressway.  Providing an option will reduce delays caused by last-minute merging.
