Home in the City started in November 2006 and consists of three programs: mortgage insurance, settlement assistance, and “Curb Appeal.”The programs are based in two residential areas closest to the hospital.Depending upon eligibility, a full-time employee at the hospital could be eligible for private mortgage insurance coverage, a deferred payment loan of up to $10,000 for down payment and closing costs (forgiven over five years), and a deferral payment loan up to $2,500 toward exterior improvements to the real estate (also forgiven over five years).For more information, visit the Lancaster General Hospital Web site.
